The cemetery is called Assistens Kirkegård; my favourite place.
Inside the cemetery there are small spots which are very special to me. This place is one of them.
Today I saw a tree full of colorful pom pom's. I think it's part of a decoration somebody have put next to a grave.
An untouched bench with the characteristic yellow wall behind.
Outside the cemetery just before I walked in, a poster were hanging on the yellow wall with the word; dansk.
This tree is amazing. Very textile like with the bark in stripes and beautiful colors.
Lovely windows with patterns.
This little leftover from a tree fell down while I were walking. I love the spidersweb pattern which is possible to see in the leaves.
In the Fall while it's still green, if you throw it up in the air, it will swing from side to side while falling down. So pretty.
While walking I saw this facade outside the cemetery. A white dove. For me it's a sign of peace, happiness and love.
It sounds an unusual place to have a walk, but by the way you show it, I can understand why you like to go there. I'd like the place too.
ReplyDeleteActually I love cemeteries. And I always go to the cemetery when visiting a country. I think that place tells a lot about how people are in the specific country I am in.
ReplyDeleteI have such a big collection of photos from cemeteries; from Kyoto to Lima to Paris to Philadelphia. Just love them!
You should show these photos. It's must be an amazing collection by now! The thing that's interesting about a cemetery are the stories. I wish you could learn the stories of each person there.
DeleteHello Eva,
DeleteI think it could be fantastic to be able to learn the stories about each person.
I will later show some more photos from other countries.
I use to go alone to cemeteries since the age of 16. I love them, for me they are beautiful places. People sometimes find that strange. I also like to go to different ones when I am in another country or city :)
ReplyDeleteIt is nice to see things in common with you :)
Hello Claudia,
DeleteSo this will be a new little letter for you. I have to search for them and probably take some copies, as some are taken with the "old" cameras, not digital.
Oh, what breathtaking scenery! I'm sure a collection of all the cemetery scenes would be amazing.
ReplyDeleteHi Bethy,
DeleteI am going to look for my old photos. It will probably take a while, as I often just put my photos at different places ;-)
that tree is marvellous...is it a birch of some kind?
ReplyDeleteIt is a birch, and I think the colors is like you write marvellous too.
